The tabular alumina is a sintered corundum which is sintered by using alumina in an ultra-high temperature state. It has a crystal structure with coarse and well-developed α-Al2O3 crystal structure. The crystal structure is plate-like, and the Al2O3 content is above 99%. Low porosity, water absorption, high purity, good volume stability, minimal re-sintering shrinkage, good thermal shock resistance, erosion resistance and flexural strength after high temperature treatment of refractory or castables .
It can be used as the main components in aluminum-carbon, aluminum-magnesium-carbon,
magnesia-aluminum-carbon,magnesia-spinel and aluminum-chromium refractory bricks, as well as in high aluminum amorphous refractories, and can be widely used in iron and steel, casting, ceramics and other industries. Its application in iron and steel industry almost covers the whole process of iron-making and steel-making.
